This blood red wine is a Merlot from Austria. The wine is clearly marked by the terroir of the Leithaberg region. It was first matured for about 1.5 years in reused French oak barrels and then further matured for one year in LAPHROAIG10 YEAR OLD Bourbon barrels.

NOSE : Obvious peat smoke, blackberry and blackcurrant aromas.
PALATE: Peat and smoke, fruity notes of wild berries and dried plums, earthy notes of mushrooms and lots of umami.
FINAL: Long, very long, dry with a pronounced smoky note.
This wine can be decanted. Tasting temperature between 15 and 18 degrees.
