Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Fine and confident, its vitality is slightly softened by maturing a little longer, which gives this whiskey this classic and timeless touch.
Notes from the distillery: • Distilled in 2008 from the 2007 harvest. • 100% maturation in first fill American oak barrels. • Bottled at 59.3% Alc./Vol., 167 ppm, 8 years of age.
• NOSE: The nose opens with notes of peaty and earthy moist moss, coated with a touch of smoke. Candied orange, pepper, chocolate, macaroon, vanilla caramel and lemon tart
• MOUTH: A striking combination of fruity and smoky notes. At the palace, it reveals the sweet kiss of salty spray married to the freshness of ozone. The sweetness of oak conveys its flavors of vanilla, caramel, almond paste and nuts. The melon and citrus are revealed, carried by a floral breeze.
• FINAL: Reminiscences of dry peat smoke and iodine rub shoulders with the sweetness of oak. Mint and blueberry flavors finally give way to the lingering taste of smoke and peat.
