For the first time, we are mixing two different malt recipes. One part of this whisky, distilled from our three malt recipe, was first matured in Ex-Bourbon barrels for nearly three years and then finished for another five years in Virgin Oak casks.
The second part is our first Single Malt Whisky, distilled from barley malt only, which was matured for over four years in Ex-Bourbon barrels.
The result is a particularly dry and sweet whisky in which delicate notes of honey an vanilla are delightfully combined with fresh and spicy notes of ginger, hay and freshly toasted tobacco leaves.
